ShareFile to be acquired by AI-powered infrastructure software leader, Progress

I am excited to announce that we signed a definitive agreement to be acquired by Progress, the trusted provider of AI-powered infrastructure and digital experience software. Progress is a global, publicly traded company with more than 100,000 enterprise customers and more than 2,500 employees in 20+ countries.

This acquisition presents a unique opportunity to bring together ShareFile’s leading document-centric collaboration and client interaction platform with the Progress Digital Experience portfolio. Progress’ Digital Experience portfolio enables customers to harness digital channels to reinvent business processes and customer interactions, building the agility to succeed in a changing world. ShareFile will add key capabilities for document-centric collaboration that enable teams to be more effective and efficient, and client-facing employees to deliver enhanced client experiences.

ShareFile will extend Progress’ offerings with the addition of SaaS-native document-centric collaboration, including workflow automation, client portal, secure file sync and share and integrated eSignature. This will be a strong complement to Progress’ digital experience products including web and application experiences, personalization, file transfer and digital decisioning products.

The deal is expected to close in late 2024, subject to obtaining regulatory approvals and satisfaction of other customary conditions.
