ILTACON 2024: a ShareFile recap

ILTACON was, again, the place to be this year to learn about the technology, trends, and ideas that are transforming the ways legal professionals work. We were excited to be in Nashville to show off the latest enhancements to ShareFile and talk about how the new features and functionality can help law firms streamline workflows and reduce security risks, improve efficiency, and deliver the exceptional experience clients demand.

Our time at ILTACON gave us the incredible opportunity to gather valuable insights and feedback from legal tech leaders and our booth visitors, who got a firsthand look at new ShareFile features designed just for legal professionals. How tech can transform law firms

The ShareFile experience at ILTACON started with a Master Class. ShareFile Lead Product Marketing Manager Stacy Shrader hosted a panel with Ari Kaplan, Principal at Ari Kaplan Advisors, and Sulabh Upadhyaya, Lead Technology Consultant at Kraft Kennedy. They had a great conversation about transforming manual workflows and the impact technology can have on how law firms work.

Firms of all sizes know the time spent on manual processes and non-billable administrative tasks can hinder success. But change is hard. There are so many processes in each engagement, many of which vary by firm. Often it’s these front-office client-facing processes firms can transform.

Where should firms start? It’ll depend on the firm, but some places to start include client intake and onboarding; document collection; the case / matter lifecycle; document and form creation; and document review and approval. And as firms move forward on choosing the right technology, they should consider ROI and which processes would benefit most from automation and digitization; get key stakeholders involved early to help shape the decision; think about what clients need and want; and never lose sight of security as they evaluate technologies.

Diving deep into ShareFile

Just a few days before we left for ILTACON, ShareFile released new features to help users streamline legal workflows. We were excited to share these new features at ILTACON during our Company Update. ShareFile experts Frank Scalia, Senior Product Manager, and Stacy Shrader covered the new capabilities, including:

ILTACON offered incredible educational sessions to help legal professionals understand technology trends and how to get the most out of their digital tools. That’s on top of all the networking opportunities and keynotes featuring experts in the legal tech space. Here are a few takeaways our team had from ILTACON:
