How Decosimo Customized Its File Portal With Citrix ShareFile Support

The accountants and consultants at Decosimo trusted ShareFile as a secure delivery system for their clients. But when they needed a self-managed place to store data, they had a big question about how to make this transition: how could they move from using their account with a few departments to a companywide, more complex deployment? Fortunately, Brian Hoffman, Decosimo’s senior systems analyst, says ShareFile was there to help.
Hoffman worked with the ShareFile Enterprise Services team responsible for delivering the ShareFile QuickStart service, a unique package designed to help customers get their accounts up and running quickly. Hoffman discussed the company’s requirements with a dedicated consultant who then guided him through implementing ShareFile using best practices and helped him get training to manage his account moving forward.
Hoffman received one-on-one support for integrating his company’s Active Directory with ShareFile, providing conveniences such as single sign-on authentication for his users, mobile device access, and security and compliance integrations, which allow him to create or revoke an employee’s access at any time. With the User Management Tool from ShareFile, Hoffman can manage user permissions to ShareFile without having to manually assign access to every employee individually.
ShareFile support also simplified the process of creating separate storage locations, or StorageZones, for Decosimo’s files. Hoffman can now choose to store files on secure, managed cloud servers from ShareFile or on Decosimo’s own proprietary servers for the most-regulated client information. Employees can access all files, no matter where they’re stored, from a convenient web interface or through their own desktop using ShareFile Sync to keep their online and local folders up to date.
