ShareFile now offers two-step verification! What does that mean for you? I assure you it has nothing to do with a dance floor.
ShareFile wants to make your data as secure as possible, so we’re giving you another way to further control access to your account. Two-step verification is an optional feature that uses your phone to provide an extra layer of security when you log in.
You can choose to enable two-step authentication in your user settings. Once it’s set up, you will be asked for your password and a verification code when you log into your account. That verification code will be sent to your phone as an SMS/text message or voice call. Enter the code that was sent to your phone and log in and share files as you normally would.
You’ll be asked to enter the verification code every time you log into ShareFile from a new device. You can also pre-print backup codes in case your phone isn’t handy. You may also create a specific password to further secure tools such as the desktop widget. To make sure all this is easy and secure, ShareFile has partnered with TeleSign, which protects some of the largest Internet, mobile app, and cloud properties by establishing and verifying mobile identity (check out TeleSign to learn more).
