Using ShareFile from your Desktop

ShareFile's Power/Desktop Tools allow you to interact with your ShareFile account outside of the traditional web browser. They streamline processes such as sending and receiving files, uploading and downloading files, and even synchronizing folder structures to your ShareFile account. While the ShareFile application is completely web-based, most of our Power/Desktop Tools require software to be installed on your computer. All Power/Desktop tools are available free of charge on Professional, Corporate, and VDR level accounts. You can turn these tools on for Basic accounts for an additional $9.95 per month.

Outlook Plugin

The ShareFile Outlook Plug-in allows you to insert links to your files, upload and send new files, and request files directly from Microsoft Outlook. Once downloaded, this tool can be linked to your account by entering your username, password, and account subdomain in the set up window. Additionally, you can choose for all attachments to be sent via ShareFile rather than your internal email server. The Outlook Plug-in supports Outlook 2003 and 2007. Download now

Built on the Adobe Air platform, the ShareFile Desktop Widget is an efficient way to upload, download, and delete files from your account without ever launching a web browser. Command Line Interface

The ShareFile Command Line Interface (SFCLI) is a scriptable tool for interacting with your ShareFile account. It can upload and download files and synchronize entire directory structures. Drive Mapping for Windows

The ShareFile Drive Mapping software gives you the ability to map your account as a network drive. Interact with your files and folders just like any other on your hard drive. FTP/FTPS Compatibility

ShareFile is compatible with most well-known FTP clients. This means you can connect to your ShareFile account using an FTP program.
