When you update your ShareFile apps for iOS, you’ll always have the latest versions of your files on your phone or tablet with Folder Sync. Folder Sync allows you to connect folders on your ShareFile account with folders on your device so changes in either location are automatically recognized and transferred to your online account and all synced computers and devices. With Folder Sync, you don’t have to plan ahead or carry bulky files and laptops to work effectively beyond the office.

For ShareFile Enterprise, the updated iOS apps bring the option to edit and annotate documents directly in the application. Our new document editing and PDF annotation features increase the security of your data by allowing you to make changes on the go without requiring downloads of files to your device or interaction with other applications.

Citrix Receiver allows users to access their published applications from any number of devices, including their tablets, phones or PC. With ShareFile now playing a part, your documents are available along with all of your applications. Need to edit that PowerPoint presentation before you get in? Receiver with ShareFile integration will allow you to open up Microsoft PowerPoint on your tablet and then open any PowerPoint files you may have saved within your ShareFile account! With a quick edit and save, the presentation is saved back into your ShareFile account and ready to be opened in the conference room PC where you are giving your presentation.

With Citrix’s acquisition of the collaboration application Podio, ShareFile brings further value into the evolving Citrix world. Now if you are working with your team on a project, you can easily store and share the necessary files that you may all need access to, right in your team’s Podio workspace. Files are still stored using ShareFile’s secure encryption methods with all the functionality users are used to and can be easily worked on by your team.

ShareFile’s constantly expanding integration into current popular applications is a key factor in the Citrix vision. It will be exciting to see where the vision leads to next.

So what’s new? Here is a list of the features in the updated app:

-Pull-to-refresh folder contents

-FileBox support (FileBox appears in the root folder list, and you can download and upload/request files to the box)

-“Send Folder” functionality

-Integrated ShareFile contact lists (Personal, Shared, Groups) on all form pages

-Favorite Folders option added

-Added “Create Folder” to the root level

-Added “Open in…” menu option for all file types in your downloads folder

-Sorted thumbnails when uploading

-UI tweaks throughout

These new features make transferring files from your mobile device easier than ever. My personal favorite is the ability to upload files directly to my ShareFile account instantly. I wanted to share some pictures from our company party and I simply clicked “Send” within my Android phone and chose ShareFile. I then chose the folder that I wanted to send it to and uploaded. That was easy.

Users of the mobile applications will have seamless access to all files and folders on their account. Users can also browse files or folders and share them via ShareFile without having to download them. The mobile applications will also feature built-in access to previously downloaded files, allowing users to view files without having to re-download them. These applications are designed to play to the strengths of mobile devices and are optimized for mobile screen resolution and connectivity speeds.

These native applications are designed to play to the strengths of mobile devices by allowing you to access your account where and when it’s convenient for you. By making the ShareFile service more instantly accessible, you can access your files on-the-go and ultimately improve service to your clients as a result.

Earlier this quarter, we launched Enterprise Sync, which allows IT departments and other administrators to sync jobs across offices. Each of these tools increases ShareFile’s ability to provide the most cutting edge and intuitive tools to improve security and convenience in file transfer.
