Citrix ShareFile has been serving small and medium businesses for more than eight years, and now that we are in the Citrix family, we are seeing increased interest in how important ShareFile is to the enterprise sector. With a growing customer base and lots of questions coming in, we launched the ShareFile Master Class in October 2012. Designed to educate potential customers interested in solving their file sharing problems, the class is an open forum for anyone interested in learning more about ShareFile Enterprise.
ShareFile now makes it easier for companies in the financial industry to meet government and industry regulations for record retention. ShareFile Archiving for Financial Services allows account holders to retain records that are uploaded or sent through the ShareFile SMTP email service for a minimum of three years. Account files, folders, sent messages, active and inactive links, and notifications are archived rather than deleted when no longer needed. When you enable archiving, you will be able to easily satisfy record-keeping requirements under SEC and FINRA rules.
My name is Preston Kiser and I am a Software Test Engineer here at ShareFile. Since starting with the company in 2010 I’ve had the pleasure to see a number of new releases and changes to our system, and I would like to take some time to discuss one of my personal favorites – ShareFile Sync.
Today marks the two year anniversary of the debut of Desktop Sync. The release of Sync allowed users to quickly and easily integrate ShareFile into their daily workflow. We found that Sync was able to fulfill a variety of needs – allowing accountants to seamlessly upload tax documents to their client folders and ensuring that sales reps in the field always have the most up-to-date figures. The best part of all – it’s fully automated!
Did you know that there are many ways that ShareFile can help you send files? Here are seven different methods for sending you may not have tried yet.
1) Send a File
When you need to send a large file fast, log into ShareFile online and use the Send a File link in the top navigation bar. This link will open a Send form, which works just like sending a regular email. Set up your email, upload a file, and ShareFile will send the recipient a link to download the file online.
2) Convert attachments to ShareFile links
When you need to send a file in Outlook that’s too large or too sensitive to attach normally, use the ShareFile plug-in to easily change the attachments to a secure ShareFile link. The Convert to ShareFile button makes it easy to change normal email attachments to secure ShareFile links.
The Best in Biz Awards honors companies and products for their business success each year. Concerned about moving your data to the cloud? According to Jesse Lipson of ShareFile, you may be justified in your concern, but you are most likely concerned for the wrong reasons. Have you ever wondered, “if I choose to change cloud vendors or move to an offline system how do I get my data back?”
Cloud computing has been widely accepted as a means for data storage, among other services. Moving to the cloud can be a smart business move, but do you know what questions to ask of a cloud service provider?
Trumpet, Inc, a leading expert in technology and workflow for financial advisors, released its Publisher tool today. The tool enables advisory firms to automatically publish a directory full of client documents to their respective ShareFile folders, regardless of how the source files are organized.
Trumpet’s Publisher is easy to use, and helps advisory firms provide speedier delivery of documents to their clients. The Trumpet Publisher allows for the easy upload from both a Windows® file structure, or a document management application such as Worldox®. It also makes it simple to publish files from any directory, rather than requiring the files to be organized in per-client folders.
