Do you ever need to access files on the go, whether you’re riding in a car or traveling on a plane? With ShareFile, that’s no problem. The ShareFile Mobile App makes it as easy as 1-2-3.
The ShareFile Mobile App allows you to sync files down to your mobile device and then view those files when you have no active internet connection.
For demonstration purposes here, I’ll be using the app for iOS devices, specifically an iPhone. First of all, you’ll need to enable your offline files. To do so, simply open the app, select settings and then choose Enable offline files. With this setting enabled, you can access the files you have chosen to sync when not connected to the internet. Yes, even 35,000 feet in the air or two stories underground on the train.
So, how do you sync a folder? Just swipe it and press the folder icon with the downward arrow to start the sync. Once the sync is complete, you’ll see three bullet points in the top right of the app with horizontal lines next to them. Tap there to access your synced files.
Personally, having these features came in handy a few weeks ago when I was flying out of town for a family reunion. I remembered while I was waiting in the terminal that my boss was uploading an important document for my review, so as I was waiting to board, I went ahead and synced the folder. During my flight, I reviewed the document without needing to purchase Wi-Fi, and as soon as we landed, I responded to my boss. The ShareFile Mobile App let my work and my travel plans stay perfectly in sync (see what I did there).
It’s literally as easy as 1-2-3.
