Did you know that ShareFile has over 100 customizable features and settings? These settings vary from desktop tools you can download, to custom SMTP settings, to sorting folders, and more. For February, we are celebrating Valentine’s Day (a little late) by helping you Fall in Love with Folders. I have five great features to share with you that will clean up your ShareFile account and organize your folders and file . Just in time for Spring Cleaning!

We are excited to announce that the newest version of the Desktop Widget contains several new features and enhancements to make it a more powerful tool to help you send and receive files without ever having to open a web browser.

The newest versions of our popular Android applications were released this month! These updated features will allow users to stay up to date and continue file sharing on-the-go.

The updates include:

-Upload files to your ShareFile account using our new file browser or the ‘Send’ option from any application

-Send links to entire folders

-Sort files and folders by title, date uploaded, size, or creator

-Receive updated versions of files that you downloaded from your ShareFile app automatically with auto-sync

If you’re like thousands of people out there, you’re stuck in a rut of keeping your important files right on your desktop. I get it; you have easy access to them quickly. You know exactly where they are. You can even password protect them so no one accidently gets access to it from your computer if you leave it unlocked. But what if something were to happen to your computer… and you lost your important documents? That document that you’ve been working on for hours just disappeared. Sometimes there are chances to recover such documents in the event of a loss. However, if your hard drive crashed and your documents weren’t backed up you could be out of luck. Why worry when you don’t have to?

Today marks one year since we first launched our Sync Power Tool. If you are a fan of the ShareFile Facebook page you may have seen the picture of our Sync celebration last year.

Since the launch of Sync, we have seen a high adoption rate among users. In case you aren’t familiar with Sync, it allows you to synchronize folders within your ShareFile account with folders on your computer for easy, automatic updates and backup of your data. Users of the Sync tool can choose a ShareFile folder or a local folder to be the source, allowing you to easily mirror a folder in either location. Users also have the ability to set up a two-way sync job so that updates to either folder will be automatically recognized and adopted by the other. This allows users to work from the most up-to-date document at all times.

Do you use Microsoft Outlook? The Outlook Plug-in is a great tool for our ShareFile customers who use Outlook to easily send and receive files directly using their Outlook email instead of using the web application. The Outlook Plug-in is available with our Professional plans and above and can also be added to our Basic plan for an additional charge as part of our Power Tools package.

We’re delighted to announce that ShareFile for Accountants won the Sleeter Group’s Awesome Add-on award for the second year.

The Sleeter Group announced today the 2012 winners, which indicates that ShareFile is among “the most productive and effective technologies designed to enhance common business management systems,” resulting in increased productivity and efficiency in the accounting industry.

As a result of the award, we’ll be flying out to Vegas next week to attend the Sleeter Group Accounting Solutions Conference. There, we’ll accept our award and will also have a booth so attendees can drop by and chat with Laura Ivey, Channel Product Sales Specialist, ShareFile for Accountants.
