ShareFile Expands Mobile Strategy With Mobile Web Application
RALEIGH, NC--(Marketwire - January 13, 2011) - Based on customer feedback about the necessity for mobile access to files, ShareFile, a leading provider of secure file transfer and full-featured virtual data room solutions that enables companies to exchange large and/or confidential business files, launched the first phase of its mobile strategy with a ShareFile mobile web application. With the increased use of smartphones by small and medium sized businesses (SMBs), access to business files and folders on-the-go has become critical to running a successful business.
ShareFile's mobile web application will enable browser-based access to ShareFile accounts from mobile devices, including smartphones and tablet PCs.
ShareFile users will have access to important business files on-the-go, securely and professionally.
Additionally, ShareFile's rapidly evolving mobile strategy will also include native iOS and Android support, which will be rolled out in Q1 2011.
Jesse Lipson, Chief Executive Officer, ShareFile:
"This latest release represents an important step forward for ShareFile's mobile strategy. Our business users run a variety of mobile platforms, including Android, iOS, Blackberry, Windows, Palm, and Symbian. Our new mobile application is designed to support all of the major smartphones rather than focusing exclusively on just a couple of platforms. As with all our product releases, we will listen closely to customer feedback to refine our mobile tools and to lay the groundwork for the upcoming release of native mobile applications later this quarter."
